Storyfluence Workshop: The Hollywood Story Method for Marketers

8:24PM, Saturday night, June 21, 2014, Miami
InterContinental Hotel, Toro Toro Restaurant

THE THREE OF US WERE onto our second bottle of red, so the conversation was becoming more open and fluid. We were sharing stuff that, under normal circumstances, probably would have remained behind the curtain, sealed in a black box.

Amazing steak washed down with expensive wine has an almost magical ability to help with rapport and establish a deeper level of connection.

The conversation had moved onto storytelling.

I mentioned that the better I got at it, the more money I made. Not just through email, but anywhere where people read something I’ve written.

He said, “You know what I do?”

I waited while Daegan munched down a large chunk of Wagyu cow. “I pay a Hollywood story consultant to coach me.”

More chewing. Another slurp of Bordeaux.

“Just one of the stories he’s helped me craft allowed me to bring in over $315,000 in just one evening. He’s transformed how I think and how I communicate…”

WHEN I RETURNED TO Southern Spain my priority was to reach out to Michael, this superstar Hollywood story consultant.

I set up weekly story coaching with him, every Friday.

And for the first time, I started to understand why some things I did, intuitively, worked so damn well for me.

… and perhaps more importantly why other stuff I wrote just didn’t in comparison.

That’s the thing with just operating on a natural and intuitive level. It’s not always the best way.

This was a game changer for me.

In August 2014 I ran an intensive email marketing workshop with Mindvalley over 8 weeks…

And on the final week I invited Michael as a guess expert to teach storytelling (and specifically, how to apply it within the context of email).

Students loved it. He blew their heads to pieces.

Some of the before and after emails were honestly hard to believe.

Some stories went from f*cking horrendous (and that’s me being kind) to “are you kidding me!” awesome.

Anyhoo…

Introducing Michael Hauge

LET ME INTRODUCE you to my Hollywood story coach and now good friend, Michael Hauge.

1

Michael is one of Hollywood’s top story consultants, and has worked with every major studio on films starring—among many others—Will Smith, Julia Roberts, Tom Cruise, Reese Witherspoon and Morgan Freeman.

… including I Am Legend, Hancock, The Karate Kid, Masters of the Universe and Suicide Squad.

Michael applies those same blockbuster principles in coaching presenters and internet marketers on their stories.

He’s damn good at it, too. I guess 35+ years of doing this, helps, eh? 🙂

Here’s a short video of Michael at Daegan Smith & Russell Brunson’s Invisible Funnel workshop:

On March 17 Michael and I recorded an intensive webinar training on a customized version of his storytelling formula specifically for us internet marketers. jeremy-koch

Introducing the Storyfluence Workshop

MICHAEL HAUGE BRINGS (new secret & exclusive) principles of HOLLYWOOD storytelling to the marketing stories we tell our audiences

holy-fack_900x551

You’ll learn how to tell your marketing story in the most IMPACTFUL way that elicits the most EMOTION.

This is not just for “email writing” (although it can certainly be applied to that, too)…

but for any story you want to tell within your marketing funnel.

Doesn’t matter if it’s an:

  • origin story,
  • backstory,
  • someone else’s story (one of my favorites),
  • presell story,
  • email lead-in story (another favorite),
  • case study and instructional story,
  • … or even a story within a sales message:
    • sales letter,
    • VSL,
    • or stage presentation.

We originally limited this workshop to 200 people (although by the time it took me to close the cart, we had 247 paid and registered).

Our alumni loved this training (see some of the unsolicited testimonials scattered around this page).

and we know you will, too. No question about that. Or you get every cent of your investment in this training back.

Btw – the only reason we’re not charging $499 for this information is because, selfishly, we want to expose this to as many marketers as possible, and get early success stories.… and low-balling the price is one way for us to do that. Which is why, for now anyway, you can get access for just $197.

(We will absolutely be raising the price shortly. This is not some fake urgency. That’s not how I roll.)

What’s In This For You?

    • You’ll learn how to take your story (or the story of someone else), and communicate it in a way that elicits the most emotional impact in your reader (or viewer).
    • These are “stories” that you can use anywhere within your marketing funnel: like origin story; about page story; presell story; sales letter; VSL; stage presentation; and of course, emails.
    • We also give you before and after stories from clients of ours. And two stories of own.
    • 3 hours of core training, with alumni Q&A to help give real life context to what you’ve just learned.
    • BONUS #1: We also be giving you Michael’s Creating The Blockbuster Story Outline “fill-in-the-blanks” worksheet…

You don’t need to be a master storyteller to produce a story that will blow your on socks off — I’d honestly be surprised if you’re not left scratching your head wondering how the hell you managed to write something so freakin’ awesome 🙂

This worksheet alone is worth the price of admission.

    • BONUS #2: A 43 minute private Skype recording between myself (Andre), Michael Hauge and Jack Born.

Jack is a good friend of mine. Before we recorded this training, he emailed me a question, copied below:

If you have a second to listen to my struggle it’s this…Seems like all writing books and experts talk about conflict and struggle being absolutely essential to a story. Hero must be pursuing a goal. His plan must go to shit. Just before he wins the day his plan must REALLY go to shit and seem impossible to accomplish. He’s doomed. But somehow he wins.Without making shit up… I don’t have that kind of story. I’ve had some adversity… but nothing that rises to the level of “holy shit… what did you do THEN?”

So I’m trying to figure out a structure that captivates people in an email.

Maybe I’m thinking too much and making this too hard.

But does this “blockbuster movie” formula translate to emails and if so, how?

(Probably no short answer to this so if you don’t have time now or it’s better to chat on skype later, no problemo. Just no one I know better than you to answer that.)

It was a great question, so I setup a call. You get the recording of this awesome call, along with the a BEFORE & AFTER email (Jack rewrote this original email after this call from what he learned).

I’m really excited to (finally) bring this level of storytelling detail to the market. And Michael is even more excited to share his love of storytelling with you. storyinfluencess
